Ways Committees Can Use New Technology

While telephone calls and emails may have been the traditional methods of communicating with Sisters, technology has evolved to include methods like social media and video calls. This so-called “new technology” is now viewed as traditional. So if you want to get in touch and stay in touch with Sisters, determine the communication methods they use and make this the traditional method for you and your committee.


This article contains suggestions on communicating with Sisters who are current UBC members. There are also suggestions for communicating with potential members.


Ways to Communicate with Current Members

  3. Postal Mail (postcards, flyers)

  4. Posters

  5. Websites (Council, Local, Sisters)

  6. Telephone conferencing

  7. Online conferencing (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet)

  8. LinkedIn

  9. Facebook

  10. Instagram

  11. BlueSky

  12. X

  13. Blogs

  14. Individual texts

  15. Group texts

  16. Individual telephone calls

  17. QR (Quick Response) Codes on materials

  18. Google Drive


Ways to Communicate with Potential Members

While some of the above communication methods can be used to communicate with potential members, the face-to-face approach tends to work best for recruitment.
